World premiere for Polykemi Inc. at trade fair in Detroit, USA

Messe,11 Mai, 2022

Thank you for all the visits in our booth and the audience at Injection Molding & Design Expo!

Polykemi Inc. will help you to reduce both costs and your carbon footprint

Currently, the Polykemi Group invests heavily in the USA. In fall 2022, our new plant in Gastonia, North Carolina, will be completed. Polykemi Inc. will be manufacturing customized plastic compounds in the USA by the end of 2022.

“With the new plant in the United States, Polykemi Group will have its own manufacturing facilities on three continents, which also means we have a uniform quality control and can be even closer to our customers in North America,” says Johan Hugoson, CEO of Polykemi Inc.

“We deliver the same high quality in both new and recycled materials, as well as the same colors on the materials from all our plants,” Hugoson explains.

That means we can collaborate especially close with our customers with productions across continents.”

Plastic compounds locally produced in North Carolina

Polykemi Group is based in Sweden and has for more than 50 years developed and produced customer adapted plastic compounds based on virgin raw materials and high-quality recycled raw materials.

The company has advanced expertise in selecting the best material for the customer’s needs, helping to reduce time, costs and your carbon footprint. In short, it is all about making smart material choices, for your company, your customers and our environment.

“Our customers can choose between a virgin raw material, a recycled material or a combination of both, depending on the requirement profile. We can help our customers be cost-effective while also benefiting the climate,” explains Hugoson.

“We will produce the same materials at the Gastonia plant as we already do in Ystad, Sweden and in Kunshan, China.”

Material-smart choices saves time, cost and the environment

Polykemi Group, with the help of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA ISO 14040-44:2006), has created a calculation tool that Polykemi’s experts use to analyze customers’ choice of material and help them achieve an optimized life length of their products, cost-effectiveness and minimize the climate impact.

“We can help your company make the optimal material choice with regard to current sustainability and carbon footprint demands,” says CEO Johan Hugoson.

“Tomorrow’s industry is about making smart material choices. We call it to be material-smart.”
